Double Click each one of them and disable the one that has the location set as 'on Apple Multitouch'. Make sure you can see the connected mouse as one of the other pointing devices – MasterMind Feb 20 '14 at 13:22.
Is it possible to disable trackpad when running Windows 7 on Macbook Air/Pro? Anyone with this setup can confirm that it's possible?
(I don't use this setup yet, I'm just thinking about it, and want to make sure it supports my needs).

You can disable it in System -> Hardware as far as I remember.

Well, good news. I figured out how to stop that annoying errant cursor from suddenly moving my typing to an unintended place.
Ignore all you have read above.
On the Start bar at the bottom on your screen, far right find the Boot Camp icon.Click itSee 'Boot Camp Control Panel...'Click itClick Yes to allowing to proceedSee at the top tabs 'Trackpad'Click itunclick Tap To Clickclick OK
Voila!
Now touching the track pad won't move the cursor...only pressing down to 'click' it will.

Go to Device Manager, expand Human Interface Devices, find the Apple Multi-touch device, right click it, choose disable. Done!

Via Control Panel you can't. Although you can disable the 'touch click', and that way the click is made by 'clicking' the trackpad, thus reducing accidental clicking. There are 3rd-party tools for disabling it easily, or when a mouse is connected, but the few I tried (Trackpad++ and TrackpadMagic) didn't work for me (MBA Mid2011 + Win7)

Start > Control Panel > Devices and Printers > Apple Keyboard/Trackpad > Right click, Properties > Hardware > HID- Compliant mouse, MICE and OT.. > Properties > Anable/Disable//
You must disable the both Mice and ot.. becouse one is for the click's and one is for the mouse movement.

Is there a terminal command in Mac OS X to disable/enable the trackpad/mouse? I know that I can disable the trackpad of my MacBook Pro when an external mouse is connected. But is this also possible without a peripherial connected?

You would have to unload the kexts, which would remove support for the hardware until reloaded. I don't really recommend this.
Disable
Enable

I tried this in OS X 10.9.5
it gives error '(kernel) Can't unload kext com.apple.driver.AppleUSBMultitouch; classes have instances' but it disables the Trackpad successfully.
Then after
it enables the Trackpad again.

In OS X 10.9 I tried
to disable a temperamental trackpad, but that gave an error and didn't do anything. But moving the extension elsewhere, i.e.
and restarting did the trick—though for some reason it also disabled the internal keyboard (except for the power button).
FYI, Apple menu > About This Mac > More Info... > System Report... > Extensions (under Software) shows which kernel extensions are currently active.
